Sunday the 16th day in May,
My an early start to the day,
We drove to Bradley Stoke to pick up Pete
Was it really 6 a.m we arranged to meet!

We arrived in Devon at 8 on the dot,
Café was closed so no tea on the pot.
Then one by one our players arrived
An early start they had all survived!

First of our players to go on the mat,
Was Joseph Andrews – Fancy That!
Our “Pocket Rocket” was so quick and so fast,
That he got gold in 3 seconds, what a blast!

Eleanor young was next on to the floor,
Fighting so hard though her tonsils still sore.
She still did well but not feeling her best,
She won us a bronze and then had a rest.

Our Mighty Hannah came out with a grin,
We could tell by “That Look” she was determined to win.
No messing around just courageous and bold,
With some excellent Judo she got us gold!

Hannah’s fight over it was Toby’s turn now
He rayed onto the mat with a lovely bow!
So cool and methodical the “Attwood” way
His mighty fine judo got Silver today.

Isaac was next his group was real tough,
He gave what he got and man he was rough!
Giving the gold medallist a really hard time,
When he had chance of the bronze he said “That’s Mine”

Then back to the girls, it was our Meggy Moo,
She looks so sweet, they don’t have a clue,
That her Judo is great and her hold downs are ace
She won that silver with a smile on her face!

Tash was up next not flustered at all,
She spun them around and made them fall.
Tash did her Judo the “Bradley Stoke Way”
Technically and powerfully winning gold for the day.


Then it was Steph who took to the mat,
Now in the over 12’s, did you know that?
She fought and she fought making the most of each grip,
Taking home Silver from this Devon Trip.

Now time for Elisa to show us her stuff,
She looks so elegant but she can be rough!
She tried very hard and showed no fear
A Bronze today, may be gold next year?

Kelly was next, what would she do?
Would her back be O.K, we hadn’t a clue!
We needn’t have worried as Our Kel being Kel,
Had decided that she wanted the gold as well!

Just the two boys left to do their stuff,
Ben Attwood was first, would he do enough?
Of course he would, he’s coached by the best,
Now give him his gold and let him rest!

Now down to Paps the last one to fight,
Adrenalin rushing he’s feeling alright,
Full of fire he fought awesomely well,
Just missing the gold but got silver – That’s SWELL!

So to make it simple 12 players we took,
Here are the medals – Have a good look.
5 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronzes too,
That deserves a big YAHOO!

Bradley Kazoku our Bear did us proud,
When our players got medals we cheered so loud,
Bradley Kazoku went up EVERY TIME see,
To the wonderful chant of B. S. J. C.

A fantastic family day with Birthday Cake too
Emma Robinson had turned Twenty Two.
The supporters were great cheering so loud.
We ARE Bradley Stoke and we ARE very proud.

So now that’s all there is to say,
So I had better now be on my way.
Thank you Pete for all that you do
The club would not be a family with out you.
